GP Resources

The GP clinical templates listed in the FIle Manager of this site are for download into your clinical software. Where appropriate the templates have been listed in a folder for each clinical software product.

Most of the Medical Director templates are designed to work with MD V2. However, unless otherwise specified, these may work with MD v3. They can easily be modified to work with Best Practice and Zedmed.

How to download templates from website:-

• Left click on the Omniana hosted/supplied Clinical_Templates.
• Select the correct software package from the list
• Click on the template to be downloaded.
• In the download window click download and save the file to your PC

Important note: Please do not open any of these files in Microsoft Word or similar program otherwise they may not be able to be opened by your clinical software.

How to import templates into Medical Director

• Open Medical Director and the LetterWriter
• Select Modify Template in the 'File' menu - followed by Select Blank template
• Select Import in the 'File' menu - locate downloaded file and click on Open
• Select Save as template in the 'File' menu - type in an appropriate name and click on Save

Hint: When naming templates it is useful to lead the name with a keyword (such as Letter or Referral). This ensures that similar templates are grouped together in the template list.
